For those of you at United - does it feel like the company will pull out or is management still upto their usual games?
I was quite surprised by the article in the Chicago Tribune today? Granted, I'm quite new to the Airline Industry and have heard of the 1985 strike etc. but this article seems to suggest that United still might go Belly Up.
Finally, somehow I am not convinced that the only problem with the insdustry in general is "too many seats chasing too few passengers." If it were this simple one could just remove capacity or put smaller jets/ regionals on those routes. There has to be something more to it. The Eurpoean Carriers (Virgin, Lufthansa, BA etc.) have still fared ok over the years.
