From an internal announcement United will take over all ground handling at ORD.

Following is the additional information we can share at this time:

Ground Handling:

AWAC was awarded the ground handling for:

§ Dulles—continue above the wing handling
§ 19 of the 23 stations we currently serve including:
o ATW—Appleton
o AZO—Kalamazoo
o BIS—Bismarck
o BMI—Bloomington
o CWA—Mosinee
o ELP—El Paso
o FSD—Sioux Falls
o GRB—Green Bay
o LNK—Lincoln
o MKE—Milwaukee
o MSN—Madison
o PIA—Peoria
o PWM—Portland
o RDU—Raleigh
o SBN—South Bend
o SGF—Springfield, MO
o SPI—Springfield, IL
o SYR—Syracuse
o TVC—Traverse City

A United designate (someone United selected other than AWAC) will assume ground handling for:

o ASE—Aspen
o CID—Cedar Rapids
o MLI—Moline
o SDF—Louisville

United mainline will assume ground handling responsibility for Chicago.

Another ground handler, to be named by United at a later date, will assume ground-handling responsibility for Denver.

It's an interesting move. That's gotta hurt the bottom line for AWAC to lose the ground handling.
