United gets cozy with Gulfstream

Hmmm. Not to defend Gulfstream or Tom Cooper but I got hired there in 1998 as a direct hire Captain at a time when they were short qualified newbies w/ 1500tt.

I was charged ZERO so I cannot complain about that issue. Sure I flew with some really inexperinced guys but I enjoyed the challenge of helping them along and teaching them a bit about the industry.

Oh, I was Key West based and single at the time so that didn't suck had had a blast. IN 14 months I got 200 SIC and 1000 PIC.

I am not surprised about any of the recent bad pubicity (Buffalo, scheduling or the MX parts issue).

But all in all, now in my 11th year at Delta I really think it was a great time and enjoyable part of my career.
 
OK, well, in any event, all the fishing, and beer drinking with vacationing Michigan girls one could want.

No regrets (other than previous choice of words)
