No cheating. The name sticks for hockey reasons........(Marty McSorley).

What was the name of the freighter who's crew went looking for them?

It's official!!!!! Thread Hijack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From memory.... The Arthur Anderson piloted by Captain Bernie Cooper went back out looking for them even after they had reached safe harbor in White Fish Bay! Dude, I gotta stop watching "Nova".:)

Incidentally, my avatar is a picture of the "Mesabi Miner", a 1,000 ft ore freighter that still works the Great Lakes. It's named after the same iron ore region, the Mesabi Mines, that Mesaba is.

They move iron ore by Saab? I thought it would mess up the avionics... Although with the A-model, it might make the avionics work CORRECTLY.

:)

Anyhow, just saw on CNN-HL that Howard Hughes crashed in an experimental airplane... They aren't sure he'll survive.

Yeah, it's amazing how the avionics don't work when you're parked over the escalators near the tunnels in DTW and MSP. Lots of magnetic fields and motors I suspect. Plus it's amazing how much taconite you can carry in cargo 2.

You guys hear that USAir is changing its name to USAirways?
