Newark might not be a place many of us would chose to live in but drive just a few minutes away from downtown Newark and you have some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country. You have the New Jersey Turnpike running right next to the airport making EWR the airport of choice for many in PA and the wealthy burbs in Jersey. What I'm trying to say is that it is a high yield destination and the delays SWA might have to deal with(like the rest of us have dealt with for years) will be offset by the fares they will be able to charge. This is where the 737-800 might be a smart purchase for SWA.
