UN Encourages Tax On Air Tickets to Go to Poor Countries

Having worked with the UN at my old company I can second NuGuy's statement that we shouldn't trust the UN to ANY degree. They do some good but on a whole the UN is a highly burocratic, corrupt and politically perverse organization.

Uhhhhhh....Kofi Anan is the UN secretary general, not the president of France.

Meant to insert "OR" before The French President (Mitterand). Kofi or Jaques, what's the difference? They're cut from the same cloth.

The UN won't collect the tax. All countries will collect the tax.

Our government gives money to people who are morally bankrupt, every day.

Why not? They consume air and process it and leave behind greenhouse gasses. That air should not be free to airlines to process.

Many, many? I'll trump you and say that there are many, many, many. Maybe even many, many, many, many.

Of course there are fools in the US. Where else would you need religion AND criminal law prohibiting man sex with animals? Most people that aren't fools, already know it's wrong already.

I don't approve of much of the foriegn aid the US shells out either.
