First airplane I broke, I'll put it on the mantle. :)
 
Great Idea.
I had a broken part on my airplane, and I never thought to put it on the mantle. Next one I get, I'm putting there.

Actually, come to think of it, I suspect that the engine wouldn't fit on the mantle.
Oh, and there was the core charge.
 
I have a cool box full o broken parts from various (old) planes I flew.
I also have a smaller box of factory new parts that came with some type of defect. A lot of it is brand new hardware, deformed rivets, screws with no place to put a screw-driver, bolts with no threads.
QC is a term invented in the 70s
QC is something that completely disappeared by the 80's!
