Ugliest one I ever saw, was in Las Cruces, NM. It was high wing, tandem seat, twin engine, fixed gear, with non feathering props. Cannot remember the type, but never seen anything like it before nor after. However, it could be fun to fly it around.

Found it. A Champion Lancer 402. Behold:http://www.1000aircraftphotos.com/GeneralAv/ChampionLancer.htm

The coolest one I ever saw, well in a magazine that is, was a B-58 Hustler corporate jet. Had an airstair on the side. This was in an old flying magazine, cannot remember what year, found them in the attic of the FBO I worked for. Now THAT would be a cool airplane to drive!

Is that a Shorts 330?

Weather vane was my thought also! BTW, unless the engine was running at high rpm when the photo was taken, there apparently is no prop on that old bird.

For those who dont know, its a twin aeronca champ.

It is indeed a PA-22. Go on ebay, theres a parts PA22 in worse condition but you can clearly tell its the same plane as that weathervane.

I remember those. They were designed as multi trainers. Scary thought.
