Glenn Tilton told USA Today that all legacy carriers need to seriously start considering consolidation amongst one another in an effort to stay afloat.

So, if he feels strongly that everyone could benefit from a merger, who do you guys and gals think will be the first ones to take the initial step in this direction? Is it possible that two debt-heavy carriers can help each other out and turn things around financially?

Just looking for any thoughts, comments and/or opinions on this matter.

I don't know, but Gordo was very outspoken before he retired, about the benefits of a merger between CAL and UAL.

Otherwise stated......... "I'm sick of this business and I'm looking to get out, If anyone is interested in merging I will be willing to bail with a golden parachute"
