I want to OMC (jumpseat with seat in the back) over to BRU or AMS from IAD with a friend who also wants to OMC (I know, we're cheap). I know that there can only be as many jumpseaters internationally as available seats on the flight deck. So my question is this, do they have a relief pilot on these flights? The block time looks to be about 7 and half hours, so I would guess not. But I don't know, I would like for both of us to get on the same flight. I appreciate any help, thanks.

The limit is based on the physical number of jumpseats, and you'll be sitting in the cabin, so it doesn't matter if there is a relief pilot or not. They don't factor in to the equation.

Hmmm... An Air Whisky pilot got bumped by me coming back from Sydney (4 pilots, 5 jumpseats, so 1 OMC) and I had to use a pass back from Seoul (4 pilots and 4 jumpseats). So, something isn't making sense here...

I guess for safety sake, are there any relief pilots IAD to BRU/AMS? I would appreciate the help.
