U.S. Certificates to Canadian Conversion

Anybody gone through the process of converting their U.S. certificates over to Canadian lately? I looked at the Air Transport Canada website and it seems like it might be straightforward. Just wondering how to go about getting books to study for the air law exam and any other useful information.

I have been thinking about doing that too. All the material is on the web page. You just have to download it on a pdf. Then you also have to get a Canadian medical and you'll be all set. Let me know if you go through with it so I can see how easy the process is. Im going to go through it when I get my american ATP.

I did the conversion about 2 years ago...pretty straightforward. Unfortunately, there's no Canadian equivalent to the Gleim books that lists all the questions. You pretty much have to do a Google search on Canadian regs. (CARS) and just start reading....have a large coffee standing by to help stay awake.

The test covers all the obscure differences between Transport Canada and FAA regs.

Unfortunately,with the global recession in full effect, nobody's really hiring in Canada right now...
