Type Rating Required

None... All you would need is a Commercial Airplane, Single Engine land Certificate. Depending on what they are doing, perhaps an Instrument rating as well... That's it...

And maybe a 135 PIC endorsement. 135.1(a)(5) [greater than 25 statute miles, etc.]

There's a PAX outfit in Auburn, AL (AUO) that operates CE-208's 135 IFR.

Would a type rating be required to fly A Cessna Caravan for a tour operator single pilot?

It depends. What country are you in? Here in the U.S. the answer is no. Other countries have different requirements.
