What type of weather associated with warm or cold front?
Thanks!!!
Fast moving cold fronts- generally force warmer air to rise, causing widespread vertical development along a narrow frontal zone. Sufficient moisture can add the ingredient for severe weather to form well ahead of the actual front; usually clearing ass the front passes.
Slow moving cold front- Much shallower than the fast moving front. Slow moving cold front meeting stable air usually causes a broad area of stratus clouds to form behind the front. A slow moving cold front meeting unstable air usually causes large numbers of vertical clouds to form at and behind the front, creating hazards like ice turbulence N sh!t. Fair weather clouds can extend well behind the surface front.
Warm front- Take place when warm air moves over the top of cooler air at the surface. They typically move at slower speeds that cold fronts; the slope of a warm front is gradual, the warm air may linger above the cold air for hundreds of miles ahead of the front. The stability & moisture content of the air in the warm front determines what type of clouds will form. If the air is warm moist, & stable stratus clouds and steady precip. can be anticipated. If the air is warm, moist, & unstable cumulus clouds & showery precip. Can develop…
Dude I have my CFI ride coming up and you have 2000 some odd hours, why don’t you know this sh!t? If there is one thing I’ve learned in my training it’s if a CFI doesn’t know the answer, he
SHOULD know where to look it up..
Fly safe,
