ya i was so glad that my examiner skipped over Ground Ref. on my check, and my emergency procedure was easy (2000' e-descent) diversion find where you are fly back to the airport

i agree with using points on the outside to visualize your track instead of focusing just on the center point. also, and this makes all the difference for my students, make sure they have a relaxed grip on the yoke and use small inputs. i can rest my hands on my knees and use my fingers (both hands) to fly the maneuver. if they have a tight grip, theyll overcontrol everytime and blow it. once they settle down, even on really bumpy days, and finesse it all the way around, itll be a lot easier and smoother. also, dont forget on bumpy days its never gonna look smooth, so dont hold that against them.

Anyone have any tips on how to master this maneuver?

I know the whole "more bank on the downwind side" thing, but any other tips?
