SkyWest wants out of TP flying.

Gulfstream, CapeAir, and CommutAir are bidding on TP flying for XJT. Deadline ofr bids mid-December.

Jerry's (CEO) last I-share post said that the EMB's were solid for the next 5 years.

Yes I much prefer the RJDC vs. Delta arguements that go on for 140 posts by the same ten people.

I see no reason why CAL would want to replace Skywest. I sincerely doubt Gulfstream could do better. Maybe cheaper, but definetly not better.

Jerry (Skyw CEO) came and talked to my upgrade class last week. We have another 5 to 7 years left on most of our Brasilia leases. In no way are we looking to reduce our TP flying before that time is up.

I guess I’m a little slow… if I was “pulling gear for you” and you were the man at CoEx, then why don’t you know what the status of the 298 pilots in my situation is? Re-reading my post, I don’t think I ever mentioned an RJ… that’s your SWA mentality talking. Our class all went back this month and mid Jan. Like I said, I won’t be seeing you in FCO. But I’ll pick you up some Panatone.

I was Oct 1998 hire at CAL...Would have gone back this last summer...Glad you are finally going back...I thank God every day I left CAL for SWA!

If that was a sincere happiness for my return, then I sincerely thank you. Do you mean you went over to CAL with your Express hire date and got on property in Oct 98 or did you interview after we were already hired via the MOU. Most of us had to re-interview in the 96-98 cluster and got deferred but kept our original date of hire for pay and longevity ß something we lost (longevity) when we went back to Express.

Everyone has to make and live with their choices, CAL is a totally different animal than SWA and you go for what makes you happy. For me… it’s the long haul. You know what’s said…To each his own. I’m glad you found your happiness, hopefully a lot more will have that option as well…
