No amount of super official deputy doofy bling is going to keep these guys from looking like unqualified, lazy dirtbags when they walk around the airport with their pants around their knees.

All my jokes aside though the TSA agents in STL were the nicest people I have ever met in that uniform. Anyone else agree?

And those badges aren't some cereal box Deputy Dog tin badge...they're an individually numbered, heavy, serious piece of hardware that say in biggish letters, "Federal Officer" (I think) and in little tiny letters "Transportation Security Administration."

I recently saw a TSA agent in BOI wearing a suit, with one of those headsets, and a name badge that said "Customer Service." Dude musta pissed someone off not to get a blue cop shirt and a cop badge.

If I was a cop, I'd be embarrassed by the latest additions to the "Thin Blue Line." Ain't so thin anymore, if you know what I mean.

Absolutly not, a few years ago they were total a$$holes. I was there the day they walked of the job back in 2002 and it did get any better after that.

I commute out of DAY, and they pi$$ me off: When I go through as an FFDO, they love me. When I go through in uniform, they are polite. When I go through in street clothes, I am a terrorist. Invariably there is something in my bag, or my shoes they want to look at.

Same person but different clothes, I get different attitudes.

Actually, the new USAir FA and CS uniforms are exact copies of the FlyI uniforms.

I will admit, however, the folks at the ATL Employee line, at least in the morning, arent the normal, typical, TSA ******************************bags we have all come to hate.

Slightly better, but still TSA...

Hey that's not really fair about the badges. Even the guys at my local mall get to wear a shiney badge. On top of that they get to drive an explorer with flashing lights on top.

The badges are really over the top...
