The photos aren't fake, though they are NOT from the tsunami that hit a few weeks ago. I remember seeing the video of this and it's somewhere in Japan (if I recall correctly). It's something of an annual occurance when these huge waves come in. Hundreds of people show up to watch the event and one year, the waves were bigger then normal and washed over a lot of people watching. Some people were injured but I don't believe anyone died.

look closely at some of the later photos on that website. it appears to me, tho i am extremely tired, that the people outrunning the waves are smiling. does it seem this way to you guys/gals?

yea.. i noticed that too, not suprised by it. they went there cuz they thought it would be fun. they probably thought it was fun with the water splashing around too and didnt realize just how bad it was going to get.

most people keep smiling and think its a good time until they're already hurt. then again, some are smart enuff to realize the danger they're in. those people usually dont intentionally go down to watch natures destruction face to face.
