TSA should expand its second year pay. But San Antonio would be a sweet base to have.

No doubt. Our second yr pay is industry worst at $25.46. Even Mesa goes up to 28 and change for 2nd yr. San Antonio would be sweet, but we have to beg our management NOT to put a pilot base there so they actually will!!!

This isn't really an expansion, by the way. Some of our ex-usair jets are moving over to united and will be flying out of SAT. No new aircraft. Of course, all the J41s seem to be going away which would be a big loss of aircraft.

In less than two weeks we will only have 8 J41s on property anyways. I'm guessin that by June those 8 will be gone. With the rate of people getting fired and moving on to better places I doubt that the J41s will make much of an effect on our staffing. Anyways guess we both better start studyin for the PC check in Dec. Who knew we did those every two months???? Anyways the SAT flying will not need any new jets so overall as a company we are still shrinking which sux. The SAT thing is just making us shrink less which is a good thing, but not an awesome thing. Anyways just saw 829 the other day and it is infact in TSA colors they just forgot to paint TSA on the tail other than that its the old school TSA colors.

If this is foreshadowing of UAL strategy post bankrupcty then better plan on refiling very soon. RJ's do not work well outside the hub especially when competing with Southwest.
