TSA Background Checks How Long !!!

They are taking longer then they did with the DOJ. It took them a week after recieving my fingerprints just to acknowledge receiving them and start the 30 day wait period. From that point on, it's about a 2 to 3 week wait.

The one fortunate thing is that the rules don't prohibit you from starting ground school (just sim/flight training) prior to getting the go ahead from the TSA.
 
I must say that I was pleasantly suprised to recieve final approval this morning, only 6 days after fingerprints were recieved.

Looks like things might be looking up for us greencard holders!
