Many of us now put our uniform on to pass through TSA without a hassel even though we may be on a paid ticket by our company to pick up an airplane somewhere else in the world. This elimates you having to take out your for example, over 3 oz bottle of shampoo, from your overnight kit. We slip a sweater over our uniform or go into the bathroom and put on a golf shirt, so as not to be in uniform while traveling on a paid ticket. I have heard that TSA is now hasseling some pilots for doing this, because they had gained access to a TSA security area under false pretentis. Anyone run accross this and how was it handeled.

Never had a problem and if I did, I'd tell them to pound sand. My intentions were to go through "security" to get on an airplane from A to B. That's what I'm doing. What I wear while doing it is none of their business, assuming I'm not wearing underwear made of C4 or something fancy like that.

If they wouldn't try to microwave me or molest me at the pax checkpoint, I'd gladly (GLADLY) go bidness casual through the checkpoint.

Yip

Its really hit or miss depending on where you are. This has not really been that big a deal lately, but still does happen. Back in the day (when they first started) They had guys that would follow you into the bathroom and see if you changed if you did problem.....would not put it past these idiots!
