Not about airlines, but none-the-less, my hero, John Hope, passed away today. For as long as I have been alive, living in Florida, I stayed awake for days at a time during the hurricane season to watch his updates. He inspired me to learn more about weather, to love it, and to eventually want to fly within it. Many lives were saved by his countless hours reporting Hurricane Andrew, Hugo, and many many others. He WAS the Weather Channel! He will be GREATLY missed! For all you Weather Channel fans out there (hope I'm not the only one!!), you should check out the video stream from this website.

God Bless John Hope
