Has anybody been experiencing trouble with A.E.P.S as far as logging on and/or getting them to activate your new member application? I signed up for this 2 days ago, and they've been dragging their feet and not activating my profile. I've called customer service, but only got recordings and no "real person". The recording instructed me to leave a voice message, however the message mailbox was full, so I couldn't even leave these idiots a message. I've sent emails all day today and yesterday (2-26-03) and nobody will return my emails. Now, I'm trying to log onto aeps.com and it looks like their server is down.

Just got this

Just got this e-mail from A.E.P.S.

AEPS is For SALE
Call Arthur Spector at 954-525-XXXX

I Know they were having some financial problems awhile back, I guess they may be worse that suspected...

Publisher... he is on this board and he is a person from within A.E.P.S., you may want to PM him and ask what's up...

Good Luck!

Thank you for the help...I just hope they didn't charge my credit card for something I won't ever get...

I got this email today. I can't imagine it is good. It was entitled "This is Good-Bye":

Dear Members,
We would like to thank you for your loyal support over the past eight
years. Our hardworking staff and member testimonies helped us build a
force to be reckoned with in the aviation employment service arena.

Unfortunately, situations beyond our control have resulted in a change
in company ownership/management. The new owners will be contacting you in
the near future to discuss how these changes could impact you. It is with
sadness that we relinquish control of a business into which we poured our
hearts and souls. But we take heart in the knowledge that, together, we
made an impact on the careers thousands of members.

Keep the faith and keep em' flying,
Jim and Jan Dent and all of the EX-AEPS staff

Taken down

From the best I can tell, their servers were repossed by the trustee of bankruptcy and we will see later who controls them.

I believe that the same people are now bringing you Planejobs.com

That must explain the recent barrage of emails I have received for planejobs.com

Under

It was seized by the court and I believe that ALPA currently has the rights to it. It is or was for sale and is merely being maintained for that purpose. Note the lack of advertising, the number of jobs, links to places that do not exist. AviationCareer.net is in hold, no more airfairs site, etc.

I tried to get on tonight. It let me update my stuff, but I could not get onto the jobs site unless I would pay. What is going on? I guess the members are not even going to be informed. Time for an informative e-mail.....

right

Someone should have sent out an email saying what was going on. As usual, a ton of emails when you do not wnat them, none when you do.
