Anyone go anywhere interesting lately? I have six days off at the end of next month which could possibly turn into more than ten if I don't get integrated in Nov. I haven't been to Europe yet so that's where I'm leaning towards so far. Moneys not much of an issue, just looking to do a little sightseeing while we still have Deltas bennies. Alaska has been another point of interest as well.

Rome is a good one to do with a week off. Plenty to keep you busy in the city, no car required and I think DL goes into FCO. Can be a bit pricey (all of Europe is now with the Euro vs $) but well worth the money I think. By far one of my favorite cities in Europe.

Rome was on my top 5 list...flights there look good, coming back could be a problem...thanks for the advice!

You bet. Let me know what you decide. I can give you some restaurant, hotel, sightseeing recommendations.

Ciao!

I'll be sure to take you up on that if Rome is the place. I'm going to wait and see how the flights are looking once it gets a little closer to the time. Thanks again.

Argentina

My wife and I have made two trips to Argentina, the last being April '05. The USD buys three AR (Argentine pesos). Great food and inexpensive! Four days in BA, plus a day side trip to either El Tigre or Colonia de Sacramento (Uruguay) on a fast ferry will fill your time off.

DL has a daily evening flight ATL-EZE. The should season is a great time to visit.

In Europe get to Croatia, Italy or Spain. It's fun, lots to see & do and easy to get around. HIGHLY suggest British AIRWAYS ANYWHERE you go in Europe/Africa.

Australia is great, if you can get beyond Sydney.....

South America is by far one of the most fascinating. Bolivia, Argentina and Chile. Gorgeous.
