What kind of travel benefits/ vacation benefits do you have at SWA?

I have heard there are some great discounts available on hotels, rental cars, etc.

Can you accumulate frequent stays at hotels? Do you pay for your hotel each night, or does SWA pay for them?

Thanks!

Still waiting for my chance to dip in the pool.

SWA pays for all hotels while you are away from base..

No..your stay doesnt count towards you points or awards programs..

We have a number of food and beverage discounts with the various hotels for working crew members..

SWA has some discounts via the Freedom Net for various products and services..Some are better than others..

SWA employees enjoy free unlimited travel for themselves as well as their dependants..The downside is that our planes are almost always full and you travel as space available.
In other words..standby..

We also have agreements with a large number of other airlines that allow non rev travel or travel at reduced rates..

I hope this helps..

ID 90

I just spent a night in San Diego and between ID90/my SWA ID and being part of the hotel reward program I got an "executive suite" and the adjoining normal room for $100 in an awsum hotel in downtown San Diego. The "quality" inn that the military put me up in wanted $100 /night with my military "discount" and they didn't even have smoke detectors in the room.

The discount I got wasn't unique to SWA - I think any airline employee with an ID90 could have gotten it. Furthermore, stuff like this doesn't fall into your lap - you gotta look around and you gotta get the ID 90, but there are great discounts out there

With regard to hotel frequent guest perks, MLBWINGBORN is correct .... strictly speaking that is. If, when you check in, you provide your frequent guest number (in order to get credit for things you buy; food, movies, etc.), it is not uncommon for the front desk to .... oops ... credit your room to your account as well. In the morning, I am often too rushed to ... ahem ... correct their mistake. ;)

Then you have the parties, celebrations, picnics, even attendance incentives where they give away free passes, sometimes, positive space.. on SWA or on some other airlines.... !

One of the best is on the West Coast, SFO or LAX where you can just walk over to the ATA counter and show your ID, go to Hawaii for $35 or some bargain fair like that....
