I just got an invite to Trans States for an Interview and wondered if anyone had recently interviewed with them and could offer any insight or help other than aviation interviews. Thanks in advance and happy new year!!!
Congrats on the interview! I would like to ditto the previous post. Aviationinterviews.com should be bookmarked on every pilots computer! Here's how the interview goes:
Get there early.....8ish.... to fill out some paperwork. Make sure you can account for your whereabouts (school and work) for the past 10 years. Know the phone #s and address and contact names for all of those places. Then you will take a 50 question Instrument/ATP test. It's pretty straight forward. I had recently taken my ATP written, so that helped a lot. I also read the AIM. I would definitely recommend that. Then you go in for a 25 minute 3-on-1 interview. I was asked questions like Why TSA? Tell me about yourself What's your favorite plane and why Tell me about a time when you had a mechanical issue Walk me through this NDB approach................and that's about it.
I was not asked anything technical....everything was straight forward and easy. Be prepared to describe a system about your 'favorite' plane. I hear a lot of people are getting asked that one!
