Union?

I mean who really cares if the company is with a Union?
All they do is screw you anyway.
Ask how many TSA folks got to vote on the contract extension.....

Management didn't impose your contract extension your Union representatives did. Guess who voted for those guys? I hope you are being an activist in ousting these undesirable reps once their terms are up.

A$$CAR?!? Left turn, left turn, left turn, oh wait.. another left turn... blahhhh.
At least there is so passing in NASCAR. F1 is a race to the first turn and then a two hour parade.

None of them are comparable to Nitro racing. Changing the Earth's orbit 4.5 seconds at a time....

The nice thing about being a freight dog is your used to being up at 2am and watching the races live on SPEED seems like it's 2 in the afternoon.

I havn't missed a USGP since they started running the race here in the states. I'll call in dead if I have to.

amen to that!
f-1 = eurotrash?
nascar = white-trash!

seriously, passing in nascar?....only if the guy in front of you dosent mind you in his draft!!! yeah thats right. weather or not you succeed is if the other drivers LIKE you enough to let you in their draft.....F-that. thats not competition. thats the real parade. a parade of homoginized sponsorships on governmentally regulated car performance. bill france needs to F-off. just look what he did to the 24 hours of daytona! daytona prototypes are the ugliest things ive ever seen....and then he went and regulated everythign faster into slower unsafe evil-handling cars .....

(sorry...enough of this hijack)...let the sheep follow nascar. let them enjoy mcdonalds and wal-mart and all the other things that sheep enjoy cause they dont know better...oh yeah....(flame - on!)

Wow, you are way off base posting garbage like this. Your advice is like the French giving the USA advice on who to vote for. Yes, some of the pilot group is upset about the extension. However most pilot groups have taken consessions or signed new contracts that are basically conssesionary based on industry standards Comair and ACA had set. I'll take my 2.5 percent raise each year untill ALPA regains leverage in contract talks.

The company has not stated who will fly these new airplanes. So it is way to early to start complaining. We have scope in our contract and we have won nearly all the grievances we have filed. Chautauqua was granted a 180 day scope relief while they transfer the aircraft from one certificate to another. In that time American will pay APA about $500,000 or so. After that the scope will be back in place and Chautauqua will not be flying 170s or they will not be an American Connection carrier.

I seriously doubt this will turn into a Freedom/Republic episode. If it does please give us your support.

PS It seems as if there are a bunch of ACA/Indy pilots who like to dog TSA for whatever reason. "ACATerry" I'm not sure what your problem is but from a former ACA boy to a current ACA boy, you have little to stand on.

The thing I like about F-1 is that no matter how much you win you don't have to add 3,000lbs of lead balast into your car. You don't have to run a smaller restrictor plate, you don't have to run "less rear wing" you get to keep running under the same rules untill somebody comes allong and knocks you off.

I can't say I agree with them cutting the downforce way back next season though...

I think the last 'pure' form of racing is still WRC. I'm also a big fan of the IRL, but I'm not tooo happy to see them going to a smaller motor again next year. I keep hearing rumors that Tony George wants to run some road courses, I think that would make the series about perfect.

And finally yes, Rolex will never be the same, I remember back in the good 'ole days watching the Momo Ferrari's or better yet the Nissan ZX Turbo of the early 90's. So sad to see those days are gone forever, to be replaced with a tube frame mid engine Nascar.

Sorry to keep this thread hijacked.....

FI or Nascar

They both suck. The real men race off road. 1000 miles across the desert at 80+ miles per hour. They don't stop for rain, snow, thunderstorms or ANYTHING. Add the fact there is so much dust half the time they can't even see where they are going. You want to talk about tough racing physically, mentally and mechanically, catch a SCORE race sometime.

I concur about SCORE. I considered racing a stock-class buggy once in the Baja, but then my better judgement got ahold of me.
