If you interview and are hired by trans states, how do you know if you'll end up with Go-Jets. Do they trick you? or whats the deal. It looks like from what I've read on here that it's either/or with one hiring process.

Thanks

Do yourself a favor and stay away from both. Great pilot group but you have to deal with GoJet scum and the scumbags that run the place.

They've been known in the past to switch up and see who'll take the bait and go to GJ though.

I don't know for sure, but I was hired for the oct 9th (for TSA that is) class and was told that GJ is a separate deal. My impression was that you interview for one or the other.

I wouldn't worry too much about that. They did do the old bait and switch one time but that was just before they furloughed a binch of guys from TSA and couldn't get anybody in class for Go Jet. Very few of the furloughs came back so, a couple months later, they are desperately short of FOs. Go figure. Anyway, they need people badly so I doubt they'd make you switch.

There was never a "bait and switch". When TSA new hire classes were cancelled, positions at GoJet were offered to those pilots. Some came, many didn't.

Interviews for both companies have always been done separately, albeit through the same recruiting department.

MORE LIES FROM A GOJET SCUMBAG! When gojets sends a letter to tsa asking for people to come over and keep five years seniority then that proves IT'S ONE COMPANY!! I don't have any letters from other companies offering the same thing! GET A CLUE!!! Let me ask you this fuelflow, When american furlowed the twa guys did they get offers from say united or delta?? no?? Then I guess 2 plus 2 still equals four in my world, yours however is only what the company tells you since you drink the rest of their coolaid!!

Regardless of what anyone says, I'll still be mad every time I hear "Gateway" on the radio and see those pukes in the F gates at ORD.

Im pretty sure that would be called a bait and switch. Hired by TSA then TSA class cancelled, but hey we have seats open in a GJ class if you want. Lets see hired for one thing then offered another...hmmm

The second part of the post is true. Seperate interviews are done for TSA and GJ however its the same recruiting department.

To answer the first guys question...We are so short on FO's right now its not even funny. I would say that if you were hired by TSA then you will most likely end up in a TSA class. However morale here sucks and is at an all time low. If you are low time then you would be much better off CFI'ng until you get the time to go on to a better regional like CHQ. (you would be happier and probably make more money) We have some guys that have been here over 3 years and are making the move to different regionals.

Wow.... that is revisionist. Fact, people were hired at TSA and told upon showing up for work that they were now at GJ. Nice try at spin.

Go to Republic or Mesa.

Shame to say they are the best choices but....

TSA vs CFI

I have been at at TSA 2 1/2 yrs and I have also CFId (briefly). I would have to disagree with the earlier post to CFI and not come to TSA. If I recall it is hard to get a lot of hours teaching. I would not disagree with the reviews of TSA but I would say to come aboard get whatever hours you need for CHQ and go. Or another regional. You have to consider TSA is one of few regionals that has no training agreement. Therefore you can train, fly and leave when you want (no cost). Also consider CHQ and others, (XJT) will take 121 experience applicants to the front of the line. So in closing, get yourself on at TSA with lower than average time, fly 80-100 hrs a month and immediately start applying elsewhere.

I have a friend at a Delta who told me to get on with the first 121 operator you can and immediately update your resume and start applying for your next better job. I did not listen and am now wishing I had.

I was in STL the other day....A guy came up to me when I was eating at the airport to get an idea of hiring, etc., at the regional level. He mentioned he was in STL for an interview @ Trans States. I asked him if it was indeed an interview @ TSA only and not for Go Jets. He said they asked him on the phone (beforehand) if he wanted to interview at both, or just one. He said he only wanted to interview at Trans States. Good answer, hope he got it....

Snaab

Amazing that they would ask if he were interested to interview at 2 'different' airlines at the same meeting. Separate airlines????? Wonder if the interview would have been in different rooms?
