Does anybody know anything about Trans-Exec Air-Service out of Van Nuys, CA?? Good or bad company, what type of flying they do, pay.........ect?????

Fly a bunch of beautiful GVs and GIVSPs. My understanding is that they are used very frequently by the Entertainment Industry (lots of stars and VIPs) and fly worldwide. I think you need a GIV/V type to be competitive. Looks like a good gig - although living in Los Angeles SUCKS - the cost of living is OUTRAGEOUS....

You might want to check out the following NTSB reports:

LAXO1FA018B - 10/17/00 G-III incident at Van Nuys, CA.

LAX99FA99FA101 - 2/16/99 G-II accident at Van Nuys, CA.

You may find it interesting that in the Personnel Information section of the full narrative on the G-II accident there are no personal pronouns used in the paragraphs describing "the captain," though they are freely used in the paragraphs about the co-pilot.

It's a great company with good equipment and pilots. It is very hard to get hired and requires the ultimate in professionalism after being hired, no exceptions.

Spoken like a true company man. :)

CASyndrm,

I like your background - a good mix of aircraft including regional jets and airliners. How do you like flying the GV vs. the EMB-145 and MD80? I bet the variety of flying is more interesting...

I have my stuff in with Trans Exec but have had no response - my lack of GIV/GV flying probably wouldn't help...

I find that the best benefit to flying many types of planes is that you learn that a plane is a plane and check rides every 6 months just become another day at work. The best part of a diverse past is the people, places and lasting friendships.
