Trans Island
A couple of years back or even more recently still, was PFT for FO's in the Shorts. May have changed but in 05-06 they were. Just recently in the last few months advertised for Shorts Capts. I know a few of the mechanics working there. Like most ops in Hawaii, just trying to keep the bills paid. Not able to do scheduled because of Go's operation there so they stick to on demand and cargo runs. Hawaii's great for a while, but island living is either you love it or hate it, not too much in between. If you want a gig flying out there, try Alpine Air seriously. Since they are doing a postal contract the wages are determined per government requirements. For the BE99's my understanding is starting pay is around 45K or so per year, the 1900's is more around 55-60. Also, Corporate Air has a 1900 out there, I dont believe the pay is as high though.
