Training @ Pinnacle

Hey Pinnacle guys (and gals). What did you do for room & board when at training for Pinnacle? I heard they do not pay for rooms during training. Is that still the case?

If so... crashpad? Hotel room w/20 people in it?

I know that there are some apartments that are set up in South Haven for pilots. The cost is pretty low. There are some others on this board that have been down there more recently that shoud be able to get you more info.

As far as board goes... If you don't eat out or drink alot, you should be able to finish training and spend less than a thousand bucks. Ramen noodles, peanut butter, mac and cheese, spaghetti, hot dogs, tuna... just like being in college again.
I would suggest doing your shopping at WalMart in South Haven. Safe and cheap. Grocery stores that have armed guards at the entrance can't be a good sign.

Started class Feb. 2 and I am living about 15 minutes southeast on Hacks Cross Road. Rent is $150 /month for a twin bed in a 3 bedroom condo. Total of 7 guys, but there is never more than 4 there at once. Nice, clean place in a good neighborhood and the traffic is not bad. Try to take your lunch during class and don't eat out alot and it won't cost that much.

You drove your car over there I'm guessing, or are you using public transportation?

Public transport in the greater MEM area? Riiight... only if you have a death wish and all day to get where you need to go. YOU NEED a car if you live in Memphis and its surroundings.
