Anyone out there no of any regional that pays 1 for 1 during recurrent? This getting paid four hours for an eight hour class is bull....

I don't think your gonna find many that get 1 for 1. If anyone does it might be some mainline operation.

Welcome to the airlines, where you're time is of no value!

We get 3.15 each day at DL..... Although that's for 4 hours in the sim (3 days one year and 2 days the next- alternating cycles). All recurrent "ground" is done on CDs and paid for as home study.

Closer to 1 for 1, I guess.

Depending on which "regional" you're at, it's not really that far off from an ordinary duty day. Getting paid for half, or slightly less than half of your time.

The upside? You don't have to schlep your crap through security wearing the monkey suit getting harassed by passengers and dealing with bitchy gate agents.

I wish you'd at least get paid per diem for training events if you are based where the training takes place. A guy on a day trip gets per diem, why shouldn't you for showing up for 8-9 hours of ground school?
