Cool news about the pay though.

Yeah, it was overdue.

We have lost quite a few 747 folks lately and the bosses realized it is better business to keep 'em around instead of training 'em for other airlines, then having to cancel revenue flights because of crew shortages.

Ah, so the whole class is for the Bus?
You boys will be the junior China crews after training?

Good luck.

It was indicated during the interview that new-hires could plan on either China or the new Fort Wayne base.

How does the China stuff work? Are you considered based in China and have to get your own way out there or are you domestic based and deadheaded out to China?

Yeah, ya are based domestically, then DH to China, fly domestic there a month, then DH to home base.

what are the min to to get an interview. thanks

Not sure about any mins, but uh, 1200 hours may be on the light side.

I know they hired a Citation guy recently that was light on time, but meh thinks 2500 to 3000 hours will keep yer resume out of the waste-basket if ya got a rating and some jet time.

If no jet time, then 5000 or 6000 hours maybe...My guess anyway..Yer milage may vary.

New Hire class this Monday!

The new hire class this Monday has been increased to 15. It seems the 4 guys (3 pilots and 1 PFE) that interviewed yesterday where specifically picked for either the A300 or the B747 by their past flight experience. Great folks to interview with no pressure, no tech or sim. Just wanted to get to know you, and to make sure that this is the company you want to be with. According to the CEO, the company is expanding in the near future to a total of 7 B747-200, with the possibility of getting -400s in the not too distant future. No further expansion on the A300 fleet unless more contracts dictates the need. Interviews will continue every Thursday for another possible class in June. But things can change. Keep sending those resumes!

Try www.tradewinds-airlines.com

But you will notice some parts are under construction. No on-line app. When they schedule you for your interview, they will attach the application and other docs. to be completed prior to the interview. What worked for me was via fax to Mrs. Connie Rice in HR (336) 664-6615. Hope this helps. Good luck!
