Toronto (YYZ)

Just wondering if Toronto (YYZ) has US Customs at the airport like Montreal (YUL)

Yup....

Great layover as well.....say "Hi" to Sandra the Aircrew Screener as you leave....

Thanks for the quick responce. Since I've never been. Any recomendations on what to do. We get in around 2:30pm and stay at Park Plaza. Don't know where that is, but assuming it's near the airport.

Yuppers.

Park Plaza is not a bad place in YYZ. Lots of stuff within walking distance... Tony Roma's, Outback, another non-chain (at least in the states) steakhouse, bar-type place called Walt's, buffet place called Tucker's Marketplace... nice selection. The hotel restaurant also offers a decent discount for crews and there's a free continental breakfast in the AM. Be prepared, though, for the double-take when you're in your room channel surfing and happen upon the no-cost XXX porn. It catches you off guard. There you are half-asleep in the afternoon, flipping channels, and you see all the standard stuff: court programming, Dr. Phil, music videos, talk show, hard core porn, weather channel... what was that? It's pretty darn funny.

:p

Ha, yeah, same story with the Quality hotel in YUL. HBO, french channel, NBC, CBS, french channel, hard core porn, weather channel, whoa, lets go back to that last one...

To answer the original question; Yes, there is a US pre-clearance in YYZ.

I had to bail a flight attendant out after she went through the pre-clearance in YYZ. She thought it would be cool to take home some Cuban cigars for her hubby. It cost her $100.00 per cigar.

Don't forget the many bars around there and with Canada's open minded approach offer full contact and full nudity :D Oh beers good and cheap too!!
