We were in IND on sunday when they huddled us into the signature hangar after a tornado warning.
On that note, there was severe cell after severe cell that day. Thunderstorms and lightning. Acft
were taking off and landing in those thunderstorms like it was a sunny day! What the heck ever happened
to all the things we were taught about wind shear, gust fronts, and not having get-home-itis? We patiently
waited 4 hours for the front to pass, then we were on our way with no worries!

Severe Thunderstorms will produce damaging turbulence and hail. With a tornado on the ground debris will be sucked up into the storm. I know of a crew that flew by a tree branch at 16,000 feet over Connecticut.
