Reference the email letter below from ALPA. Too little too late imo. Thankfully, everyone is paying these jokers in Herndon (except that guy who lurks these boards from PDT).
I former FLYi and XJT. Unfortunately, the race to the bottom sent FLYi out of business and will soon be having its effect felt at XJT.
For those naysayers, FLYi came into existence because UAL/BAIN looked at costs industry wide. They saw the costs charged by MESA, CHQ etc. . . and said lower your costs to FLYi so that you can compete with these guys. FLYi thought they had a better plan, but that was proved incorrect.
At XJT, what more do I need to say. Reference the 69 jets that will be surely leaving the property for CHQ.
I pulled the T handle and ejected from the industry. I flew at the best 2 regional carriers out there. One is history and the other is soon to become a small player unless they lower the bar.
After about a year being away from the industry...I started to read these boards again and came to the conclusion that most of you have no clue.
At the same time, I feel your passion for flying but would never sell myself and the industry out.

Dear ALPA Member:
In January, ALPA unveiled a new task force that aims to protect wages,
benefits, and work rules for pilots who provide feed for mainline
carriers. After several planning meetings, the Fee for Departure Task Force
is developing a set of recommendations for an effective strategy to
resist unreasonable demands for concessions and to halt the "race to the
bottom."
In connection with the committee's work, we have commissioned a
telephone poll from the Wilson Center that will seek input from a
representative cross-section of pilots who are employed by the 12 feeder airlines
within ALPA. As one of these pilots, you may be randomly contacted by
the Wilson Center to participate in the poll.
If you are contacted, we encourage you to take the time to answer each
question openly so we can determine how best to develop a strategy that
will take control of our contracts while raising the standards moving
forward. The poll should take no longer than 20 minutes.
The work of this task force is a top priority within the organization,
and the results of this poll will help us develop sound policy that we
hope will eliminate substandard contracts in the future.
I thank you in advance for your participation. We will be sure to keep
you updated on the developments and progress of the task force.
Regards,
Capt. Duane Woerth
