Today’s catering? Nuclear Waste!

Trip today into Atlanta and the pax had requested special catering so our dispatch asked us what we wanted and being the flow with the program type guys that we are, we just told them to toss on more of what ever the pax were having to cut down the foot work she’d have to do.

Holy Mother Of God!!!

They ordered catering from a place called The Varsity Grill, supposedly some longtime local food joint…

We had several Hotdogs called “heavy weights” and some strings (what they call fries) covered with even more chili errrr… read that grease!

If one closed their eyes and chewed really fast is was awesome, but…

Anyone know if you can actually overdose on Malox?

The Varsity can pony up the most vile, disgusting, greasy food ever! I ate there once in Athens and once in Midtown. Let's just say I had to make more than a few visits to the porcelian godess.

Dude! Don't go dissin' the Greasy V! I don't EVER go to ATL without a trip for a good lube job. Sorry you didn't enjoy it. However, it does help if you have been there and picked out your poison yourself. I'd never let someone else order for from the V. That's like letting someone borrow your toothbrush or your horse!

The Varsity.....where you don't really buy the food, so much as RENT it.

To bad Rudy's isn't everywhere right!

This is one of the most humorous posts I've seen in a while. Top it off by the fact I've NEVER heard of anyone ordering chili dogs as catering! Just when you thought you'd heard everything!

The Varsity is probably the most famous restaurant in Atlanta, and perhaps in all of the southeast. "gimme two steaks, walk 'em through the garden, a bag o' rags and rings one. Throw in a red dog and an FO...walkin'"

There's an old tale about a formal event in Atlanta for which the caterers did not show up. The host went to the Varsity and ordered 200 hamburgers, 200 hot dogs and a bunch of onion rings. The clerk reeled off the order without even raising an eybrow and quickly sent the host on his way to feed his guests.
