Tobby Keith...off topic

I was just curious how many of you where upset by Tobby Keith and his song "Curtosey of the Red, White and Blue" being pulled from ABC's July 4th special at Peter Jennings request.

From what I've heard...PJ thinks the song contains "offensive language." ABC officially says there was just a scheduling conflict, but Toby Keith says he made himself available.

If you haven't heard the song, its about 9/11. Talks about everything from one eyed veterans (Toby's real life dad) to The Statue of Liberty shaking her fist to America being a caged animal let loose.

I have heard the song once and it is redneck to the core, but come on, there aren't any true patriots out there that don't agree with every single word. Maybe we should "put a boot in their ass" and be done with it.

Since when was Peter Jennings a liberal? I can think of many other reporters who are far more liberal than he is. Canada is not a socialist country, it is a capitalist country that happens to have a couple of more social programs (universal health care being the most known one) than we have. I think you folks need to check your political science books before you start calling other countries' systems by the wrong names.

Faulty Logic: Because other reports are more liberal, Peter Jennings is not.

And just because the bone-head is from Canada doesn't mean he isn't a liberal. Anybody that is offended by this song as to be a tree hugging liberal. Let's not hurt anybodies feelings attitude. Bull-Crap that's way this country is in the mess it is. Because of people that are like him and think like he does. Send him home and give his 6 or 7 figure job to an American.

I'm not a big fan of "liberals", but if you put all "conservatives" in charge, then you'd have 50 countries hating our guts instead of just the 20 trying to develop dirty bombs to use on us. The news agencies would rake in bigger bucks scaring the he11 out of us with the daily news, there'd be 10 more security agencies to suck up our tax dollars, and no one would go anywhere for fear of them foreigners.


I like this country, but it's not the only country I like.

PS. I'm darn proud that no one has voted that "the song is offensive and hurts my feelings" as of yet. Let's keep it that way!
