I have a small question to all that push the lovely CRJ. When in the approach phase why does the flap warning go off when you are below flap limit speed. Example, when I or the captain are flying and we call for flaps 30 or 45 the alarm goes off and we are at least 5-10 knots below extension speed. It doesn't happen all the time but it occurs often. I talked to other pilots at my airline and they say it happens to them also but could not give me a answer. So I come to the "Experts" here at Flightinfo and see what some think. Not a major issue but was just wondering as it happened to me today.
