"Passengers aboard US Airways flight 1549, which crash landed in the Hudson River, January 15, 2009 will receive compensation for lost items.

US Airways has sent every passenger a $5,000 check for their damaged or lost belongings. Passengers will also be reimbursed for their tickets.

The checks were sent with a letter from an airline executive."

Wonder if they included the crew with that payment. As I'm sure they all lost their bags and flight kits etc. More than likely the company will say Tough. you were on duty, we aren't paying anything extra
