I decided to try adding a step like I've seen on other cubs as I have uncovered gear (I'm not sure if this works with covered gear). Getting in and out of these things is a pretzel level feat especially with gut! My gear has a crossbar which I've used as a step but I'm not sure that's a good idea so I decided to try adding a step. I have Tony's TK1 shock monster shocks which I love and Tony's customer service is unlike any, sadly I've texted him questions on a Saturday, regrettably, and sure enough he answered promptly! Well, I liked this 24" step so much I bought a second one for other side of the plane.

Highly recommend! One of these days I may try his new tailwheel assembly.
