Pilots the worst tippers? I don't think so.

I had a flat tire yesterday and called AAA to fix it. I tipped the guy $20.

Went to a tire store to buy a new tire. Guy tells me I don't need a new tire, that he can repair it for me. Free. I tipped him $20, too.

Just one more reason why I like you :).

Where does copper wire come from?

2 airline pilots fighting over a penny.

Regarding some pilots seeming to be bad tippers, I've noticed that over the years myself. Since the early 1990's, I've always tipped the van driver $1, no matter what. It's sort of the ole standby, no matter if he takes you downtown, or just to the airport, most every pilot I see gives van drivers $1. If he has a bus full of 5 people and drops them all off at the airport and they all give him $1 each, then he's making $5 for that single run. Say he does that 3 times an hour, he's making $15 per hour in tips, not including his regular wages....Hmmm, maybe I should become a hotel van driver.

What's the difference between a pilot and a canoe?

At least with a canoe, there's a possibilty it'll tip

Yeah, but we're all filthy rich, remember? Pilots make a lot of money. We show up after our very long overnight on the French Riviera with a lovely young flight attendant under each arm. We then go and fly our one flight that day on our 'usual route'. No need to tip us!
I love it! absolutely right on man!

Whats the point of tipping anyway. Isn't it because someone is in the service industry and are paid low wages, so they get tips to make up for them, and in return provide good service. Sounds like a Regional pilot qualifies to me.

I got a flat the other day too. I changed it myself, then drove to a tire store. The tire store told me that they could not (and would not) fix it because it was too close to the edge of the tire. I had to buy a $200 tire. Later, I found out from my regular mechanic that this was BS, and the tire could have been repaired.

I hate tire stores, and I would never tip one of those #$%@&^%'s!
