O.K. folks,

I encountered a thread on the regional board, since not all of us browse there on a regular basis, I thought I'd post the information over here.

Colgan Air lost two young men this week in a B1900 accident, Captain Scott Knabe and First Officer Steven Dean. Apparently the FO had a stay-at-home wife and a young daughter, who were making due on Steve's salary as a turboprop First Officer. One doesn't need a whole lot of imagination to envision the situation in which these two young ladies now find themselves.

Many of us on this board have been blessed with a job earning a livable wage and a set of circumstances where our loved ones would be provided for. As such, I would exhort all of my brothers and sisters to do the same thing I'm going to be doing tomorrow. Go to Bank of America and tell them you want to donate to the Steven Dean COntribution Fund. If there's no BOA in your area, checks may be sent to:

Steven Dean Contribution Fund
c/o Colagan Air INC.
10652 Wakeman Ct.
Suite 102
Manassas, Va. 20110

My thoughts and prayers to Scott and Steve's families.

Dan
