just wondering what i should expect as far as being away from home goes when working at a regional. i know the first year is tough, but how does that change as time goes on.

In a perfect world...

Disclaimer: Your mileage may vary.

Theoretically, as you gain seniority you'll sit less on reserve and fly lines with more scheduled flights, thus adding a modicum of predictability to your daily life.

Yeah right... Work with me here.

Eventually you'll be senior enough to bid for and receive a line that perfectly suits your lifestyle.

No compromises of a personal nature will ever be required and you'll attain the highest level of personal satisfaction.

Total enlightenment and higher consciousness won't be far away at that point. In due time you'll learn the ultimate Truth.....

Ok. Here it is: Seniority Is Everything.

Good luck. Fly safe. Have fun.
