I can't believe they consider places like LGA, CMH, DCA FLL AND TPA tier 2 airports where KIND is a tier 1?

If you are a Flight Options type the hand wrighting is on the wall. Prepare to move or drive a long way on your own time and your own dime.

This nonsense of pilot focus groups is nothing more than a smoke screen. The decision was made well before now.

The size of the FO fleet is forecast to decrease. Question, HOW MANY PILOTS do we need to dump to cover only 140 acft?

How many can we force to quit if we screw with the domicile policy. Starting to figure this out yet?

That's a pretty grim scenerio there (no pun intended). I heard a rumor a few weeks back that they may grandfather pilots that are currently at tier 3 ports and new hires will have to meet new criteria. This sounds like every other rumor because some guys have already gotten the tier 3 axe phone call, so I would chaulk that up to just rumor. Fact is, that tier 2 airports make up 80% of our airports with tier 1 making up the other 20% (I intentionally left the tier 3's out). Times are changing, which direction is yet to be determined, but (for now) we are replacing each aircraft that is pushed out of the door.

Bend over and touch your toes...you may feel a small prick...then pressure..

Tier 3's will all get the announcement before the end of the month. Plan on it..

Tier 2's will be re-evaluated and redefined to look more like tier 1's or gone!

The 7/7 and 4/3 sched are nothing more than a carrot in front of the horse.
NEVER HAPPEN! 4/3 has too high of a logistic cost (Airlines). 7/7 gives 2 more work cycles in a year (more airlines) and 13 more days off per year--NO FREE LUNCH! Speaking of Lunch-catering is going to change drasticaly! Better get started on that gardetto's and fruit snack diet if you are the per diem is salary kinda guy.

Also there is talks on recurrent tng done on days off in the near future-much like CS. Cost savings--Do more with less.

The need to gradually trim near 30% of pilots due to reducing fleet and size.

Thanks RTN for sending JN to start the ball rolling.. It's only going to get better and better with the pilot hater acting CEO here. Nice job a did with US Airways metro pal!

I have already started training for my next job:
"Welcome to Wal-Mart-Have a great day!"
ASAP
Meat Packers Union..anyone????

How many new aircraft are on the property in the last six months? Not many and most of those that have made it on property are Beechjets. Six new Hawkers in two plus years and there are only four of the original 12 CIII's still flying. Numbers do not look good for a one for one replacement. Only seven EM-145's on property and putting 601's on the block two at a time. Hiring an aircraft disposal specialist. No, does not look to good my man.

Again, How many pilots does Flight Options need to cut to crew only 140 aircraft? Thirty percent (as mentioned by another post) or 285 to 325 pilots out the door. The primary tool to accomplish this attrition without having to pay unemployment compensation and fend off the law suits is to mess with domicile policy and force pilots to quit. Wonder if the the company will try to enforce the training contracts? You can bet the answer is YES. Money in the bank.

Crew Catering has already changed. Since I am a fat as-, it may be good for my health but, I am still PO'ed about a unilateral management decision to axe a great benny.

Training on days! Most likely without OT: yes!

Oh well, the Total Transition to 135 is tomorrow. We may not have jobs to worry about much longer anyway. The aircraft printers are bombing out. Ink exploding, can not stand the usage rate, not sufficent logistic train in place to keep the printers in operation supply wise because of the total number of charts that need printing and do not forget to show at the FBO at least two hours prior to lift off because the average print time in 30 to 45 minutes if you know how to use the printer.

What is wrong with the Jepp Q service and printed charts from the supplier? Do not forget guys (that means you in the office) that NOS charts are not approved by the company OpsSpecs. Do not even think about telling me to buy plates at the local FBO. Looks like you have painted yourself in a corner with the electronic flight bag. Ya should da had the paper backup in the aircraft via jepp Q service months ago. Would have saved ya a bunch of PAIN and MONEY. But NOOOO, that would make it look like the EFB was a bad decision seven years ago and make those persons responsible for the decision appear as dumb as a SACK OF HAMMERS.

True but when you work the numbers the 4/3 give 2 more days or work per month, ie. 24 days per year. 3 extra weeks of work with no additional compensation. That may balance the airlines. Then theres the rumor of making us move to our respective airplanes "MX bases". Hawkers in DAL and PBI.

Time will tell, but they certainly arent afraid to loose guys.

Would you like fries with that sir?

domicile at respective mx base-that's clever

What normally law abiding pilot is going to resist the demand to fly unairworthy plane back to MX base at end of his rotation (when he is exhausted and his defenses are down) if that is his only way of getting home on company time/dime.

I can see it now. Company says, "it is not our policy to pressure crews to fly unairworthy aircraft back to designated MX facility for our convenience. The little pilot B&stards did this on their own just so they could actually go home at the end of their rotation without having to spend their own money on a bus or airlines. Those pilots are just greedy and there is no other way around it. Shame on them."

"Fortunately we have that stack of resumes, so FAA, you pursue your certificate action against that bad pilot and we will replace him with someone who will work for half the money anyway."

Like all that never happened before.. That never worked with the CLE domice thing.. Everyone had an ACE in their sleeve on day 7 just waiting for the cle or cgf trip. The 4/3 wont work due to the constant change-over on the planes-they lose almost half of a productive day doing crew swaps. They can't figure out who is on the road anyway now. That 4/3 would make almost everyone quit.. By the time you get home, do laundry, grope the wife or G/F. Then its time to pack up and head out again..May as well have a white shirt with tie and epaulets tatood on your torso..As for me, I will employ all those at FLOPS in a great new career. GAY PORN! Its not the lifestyle, it's gay for pay! Don't try to act all cool--you have been taking it in the rear for free for years her at FLOPS..time to make it pay off!

I have talked to a lot of owners and they are looking elsewhere for frax svcs.
So we will finally get to do flows....
Fries in basket..drop basket in oil...push timer button..lift when beeping is heard..drain..salt and serve...
