Re: Flight Options/Flexjet Labor Dispute Over Mistreatment of Pilots

Dear Sir or Madam:

Based on publicly available information, XXXXXXXXXX owns a fractional share of one or more Flight Options/Flexjet aircraft. We are writing to you as part of an effort to advise the public about a serious and escalating labor dispute between pilots and the management of Flight Options/Flexjet.

We want to begin this letter by confirming that the Flight Options/Flexjet pilots remain committed to providing you with the highest level of safety and security. The pilot group sincerely wants the company to succeed; however, our ability to perform our jobs is directly related to the support and treatment we receive from the management of Flight Options/Flexjet. Unfortunately, management is engaged in a relentless effort to undermine the very men and women that Flight Options/Flexjet customers like yourself have come to trust for their air travel. It?s so bad that we had to obtain an injunction against the company in federal court. What they are doing to us is negatively impacting pilot morale and increasing labor-management strife to the point where we felt we had no choice but to directly communicate with you.

You pay a premium price for this service and likely assume that the pilots in the cockpit are treated accordingly. That is not the case. When we greet you plane side, you probably wouldn?t guess that that we have fallen far behind our aviation peers when it comes to pay, benefits and working conditions. You wouldn?t know from our faces that management spends a considerable portion of its time and resources fighting with us and trying to destroy our democratically elected organization of professional pilots rather than treating us with the respect we deserve. They won?t succeed in defeating us or our union, but they are creating a toxic environment that has no place in aviation. That?s the dirty little secret at Flight Options/Flexjet that you won?t read about on websites or in glossy promotional materials. It?s happening when we go to work and when you fly with us.

Our problem will soon become a problem for Flight Options/Flexjet customers unless something changes. That?s because there is critical shortage of qualified pilots in the United States that threatens to wreak havoc on employers that don?t adapt to the times. Media reports indicate that the shortage has spread from the major and regional airlines to business aviation. No carrier, large or small, is immune. The pilot shortage is getting worse at the same time the management of Flight Options/Flexjet is escalating its campaign against flight crewmembers. In a tight labor market, pilots have other options and our patience with management is running out. In end, customers and Flight Options/Flexjet itself will pay the price.

Carriers across aviation are searching for quality pilots like us and placing them on career paths far superior to what is currently available at Flight Options/Flexjet. Simply stated, unless the management of Flight Options/Flexjet commits to expedited, good-faith negotiations with the pilots? union resulting in desperately needed improvements to pay, insurance, retirement, job security, scheduling and hours of work, among other conditions of employment, the labor problems will get even worse, the company will have increasing difficulty attracting and retaining qualified pilots and ultimately service could be disrupted. Like you, we don?t want that to happen.

We want to put the past behind us, we want to secure a labor agreement that puts us on par with our industry peers and we want to restore Flight Options/Flexjet in the eyes of all stakeholders. We can?t do it on our own - management must change course before it?s too late.

There are several ways for you to get involved and show your support for the pilot group:
1) Meet with a delegation of our representatives to discuss the escalating labor problems at Flight Options/Flexjet.
2) Host a meeting of other Flight Options/Flexjet customers and receive a presentation on the causes of the labor strife at Flight Options/Flexjet.
3) Permit us to use your place of business for a negotiating session with the management of Flight Options/Flexjet.

A representative will contact you to discuss which option works best for you. We will continue to provide you with updated information about the labor dispute and our efforts to end it for the benefit all concerned.

Sincerely,

And the company responds with a petition on change.org? Trying to deflect from the truth doesn't change the facts. If that petition doesn't get 400 NAMES that can be publicly verified, it will be considered a failure. In responce to this FAKE petition, I think another letter should go out revealing the true working conditions for the majority of Onesky pilots!
