As most of you can tell, I am new here. Right now I attendOklahomaState University and pursuing the Professional Pilotdegree. Throughoutmy life I have been thinking about joining theAF, and the more I learnabout aviation the more I consider it.

I would like to fly the C-130 or Air Refuel, not fighter jets;Idontthink I could be able to with stand the G's of a fighter jet, butIguess could get used to it.

Some of my reasons to join the AF would be: I would have a job whenIgraduate college, I don't really want to become a FlightInstructor, andwould put me in a good, if not better, situation togointo the Airlinesafter I serve my time in the AF.

Anyone comments or advice anyone can provide mehere.IsthissomethingIshould look into, do you think this will bewhatIamlooking for?

Anything you can add would be helpful.

Also, I really don't know much about how Military training/paymentgoes, or much about what it takes to get to be able to fly in the AF orANG.

After reading some other posts, I think ANG would be a good bet thanthe AF. My grandfather's son flies F-16s in the ANG and he seemsto really love his job.

So if I were to look into the ANG, what all would I need to research tosee what it takes to fly for them? So to speak, please say it inLemen's terms on what it would take :p
