Not sure what you mean. My friend is the Project Manager for Evergreen on this.
 
Evergreen, as in Evergreen Aviation Technologies, the company performing the actual conversion, or Evergreen International Airlines, the company who will be operating the aircraft along with Cargolux?
 
Cargolux isn't going to be flying any, due to some problem with the pilot's union there.

The airplanes are going to have the fixtures that actually hold the wing and the fuselage barrel permantly affixed to the airframe, so that means that the airplanes are dedicated to the 787 project only.

Evergreen International Aviation, works out of McMinnville OR. He is working between Boeing and Evergreen. He is not the project manager for the conversion.

Really? Somebody needs to tell Boeing, Evergreen Airlines and the EU that.

I heard that about a month ago, that Evergreen Intl will be doing 100% of the flying now, and Cargolux backed out. I heard it from several people at Evergreen.
 
hot from a very good source from inside Boeing...

-4 on the way, maybe a 5th

- #1 is going to be painted either purple or orange
- the unoffical name is "dreamlifter"
-Cargolux is now 100% out of the project
 
We saw this plane yesterday in TPE, it's sooo fugly we thought it was Airbus.

Evergreen or EVA AIR. The conversion took place in Taipei performed by a subsidiary of the giant Taiwanese conglomerate Evergreen Group. The Evergreen group owns EGAT and EVA AIR (EVA stands for Evergreen Air) and has nothing to do with Evergreen Airlines of Oregon.

Anyone verify this?

Evergreen International Airlines will be doing the flying. Evergreen Aviation Technologies is a sub of EVA. The two Evergreens are not linked in any way.
