Camembert said:That is why airbus is better than Boeing; there isn't much to do. There is no shame for an American to admit Airbus and France are leaders. Do not hesitate to submit your resume.
turbinesurgeon said:A 40 year Boing is still better quality than a 10 year old Airbus. I have worked on both and the Airbus's are junk. They are just cheap thats why we like them. But of course they are not cheap in the long run, but who cares.

pilotyip said:There would be no Air France if they had not learned to run a business in US build airplanes until about 15 years ago. The Lockheed Connie, the Boeing 707, and host of other US built airplanes made Air France what it is today. Did I not see in one of the aviation magazines that Air France just bought 15 777 cargo birds, how come?
Big Dog said:Since you're such a military buff, I happen to have a few french rifles for sale. They are in like new condition, never fired and only dropped once.
Airbus are by far the most reliable, comfortable and cost effective airliners.
pilotyip said:Why all the yea France stuff with the Airbus, it not most of the bus built someplace else, like the US, Germany, England, Spain, Italy, etc. and the France are only final assembly. Something anyone can do if they have the parts.
Camembert said:THe design is French, the engineers are French, the decisions are made in France, the CEO is French. The software used by Airbus and Dassault is French (KATIA) and was by the way also used by Boeing to design the 777. So you could say that the 777 is French too.
Junkflyer said:So far the A-380 hasn't delivered on any of its promises. Its behind schedule, ovrweight, heavier, and less efficient than advertised. Not to mention they designed without body gear steering so it shreds tires. Of course thats what happens with French engineering when its not a copy of Boeing.
lowtimedriver said:KATIA is CATIA by the way. Love the flap systems in the A-320, think they copied the flap design from Cessna on their 152's + 172's.
