There should be no doubt that France is the true leader of Aviation. Clement Ader flew before the Wright Brothers did, Air France is the best airline of all and Airbus are by far the most reliable, comfortable and cost effective airliners. France is also the leader of the corporate world with Dassault making the finest business jets. The best airlines in the US fly Airbus. Pilots who fly airbus and Falcons see flying something else as a downgrade and in some cases an insult. The rest who don't are a bunch of jealous whiners. There are 3 kinds of pilots in America: those who fly airbus, those who will, and those who wish they were. Some of the later kind even wish they were French so they could have the privilege to fly an Airbus in Air France colors.

I think that most of you regional pilots should consider moving to France and be with the real leaders. Air France is hiring and working in the EU is not as impossible as some make it sound. As a mater of fact, those who claim it's impossible to work in the EU are saying it because they want to get to Air France first. Air France pilots stick together for a race to the top rather than the bottom. There is no prouder pilot than an Air France pilot.

You are going to be sorry that you posted this here. I hope that no American Airline ever buys one of your friggin planes again. BTW, isn't it hard to fly with both of your arms raised over your head in the surrender position?

this guy is a real toolbox, he is only trying to get everyone up in arms. do not give this idiot a minute of your time. both companies make good airplanes, Boeing's just happen to be better.

True many people claim to have flown before O & W, but the Wrights were the first to build an airplane that could be controlled in flight. They blew the entire world away at an Exposition in France back in 1907, when they took off, circled the field, dove, climbed, did figure eighths above the crowd. All the other airplanes the meet could not do any of things demonstrated by the Wright Flyer. It put the Wrights on the map as the premier airplane designers and builders in the world. Unfortunately, they blew it on the marketing and patent end. BTW don’t forget their would be no France aircraft industry if it had not been for the Brit’s and US.

That is why France is the leaders. Ader took off, the Wrights imroved it and left an unfinished job for the French to pick up. It is as true that France wouldn't be the leader if it wasn't for the Brits and US as it is true that there would be no US if wasn't for France.

That is why airbus is better than Boeing; there isn't much to do. There is no shame for an American to admit Airbus and France are leaders. Do not hesitate to submit your resume.

Since there is nothing to do in the cockpit in one of your airplanes, I would be happy to submit my resume to you. I am sure you wouldn't mind hiring a student pilot. Your marvelous airplanes sure helped the A-340 drivers in Canada, eh?

Ahhhhhhhhh............ flamebait. I bet it goes for 4 pages.

We paid back the favor in WW1, you still owe us for WW2 and that little brushfire you started and didn't finish, you know Vietnam (French Indo-China for you.)

Camembert, you speel just like me. Must be something the French put in the water when they were over here 220 yrs ago.

Awww, the French aren't that bad. They did sink the rainbow warrior.

You know, the French build tanks too. 5 speed.

1 Forward, 4 Reverse.

We build radars too. The kind that could see the F-117 during the first gulf war.

Nice to see you're back, Fromage. This board needs more entertainment. I'll throw something in your tacklebox ....

We're all curious how you feel about these Muslim protests.

I believe you're referring to the "French salute". It must be hell being in a French club when somebody plays Cheap Trick's "Surrender", because all the Frenchies keep throwing their arms in the air, surrendering like they just don't care.

Besides, he does have a point about the French being on the cutting edge of aviation. After all, they were the first to build an airplane with an "auto-crash" feature.

Unfortunately that "radar" was attached to a visual (read day VMC) telescope...

May be it was a Captain Member in Training...

Yea, you need to know where it is so you know which way to run.

How foolish of all to ignore what is true. The French did indeed have a sophisticated new radar during the first gulf war that was able to see the US stealth fighters. I however do understand that it is easier for you to ignore and do sarcasm instead of admiting that France can be better than you. After all the majors are not for everyone. I promise I won't hurt your feelings too much since you are poor instructors not even at a regional yet.

Oh and fromage is just a wannabe French; I am not related to him.

Bottom line is the French rule this industry whether you like it or not.

Do you know why the French planted trees on both sides of the Champs d'Elysee?

So the German troops could march in the shade..

President Bush May Send Up To 5 Marines For French Assistance

President Bush has authorized the Joint Chiefs to begin drawing up a battle plan to pull France's ass out of the fire again. Facing an apparent overwhelming force of up to 400 pissed off teenagers Mr. Bush doubts France's ability to hold off the little pissants. "Hell, if the last two world wars are any indication, I would expect France to surrender any day now", said Bush.

Joint Chiefs head, Gen. Peter Pace, warned the President that it might be necessary to send up to 5 marines to get things under control. The general admitted that 5 marines may be overkill but he wanted to get this thing under control within 24 hours of arriving on scene. He stated he was having a hard time finding even one marine to help those ungrateful bastards out for a third time but thought that he could persuade a few women marines to do the job before they went on pregnancy leave.

President Bush asked Gen. Pace to get our marines out of there as soon as possible after order was restored. He also reminded Gen. Pace to make sure the marines did not take soap, razors, or deodorant with them. The least they stand out the better.
