I do not have a "penny" in this game. In fact, I too, work for a crappy carrier. You need to be honest with yourself and STOP trying to stir the pot. I am almost certain, you are a BSer. You probably dont even work for the EAST. If you did, then you would most certainly thank GOD for America West's acquisition of USAIR. And if you dont, I personally am HAPPY you guys did not go under that Holiday Season. Thank you, America West.

FOR THE RECORD-->I flew PHL all nighters that season, I was witness of the horror and fear that encompassed you at USAIR. And for the record I would have rather seen F9 FOLD then be part of this commuter called, Republic.

Guys- USAir won't happen- the company with the largest pilot group bought the smaller- USAIR got complicated bc the smaller group bought the bigger one making the democratic processes within unions hard once the fair list was put out- there are too many aspects of the america west purchase of usair that has made it such debacle to list. But this thread has touched on a large part of our future success- once the list is combined we need to shed all previous loyalties and become Southwest.

Both sides should be equally motivated to be realistic

What part of "Do NOT turn other threads into AWA/UAIR debates" is so difficult to understand??!!

OK, realistically, I get that it's something you're living with and going through and that it sucks. I get that it's near and dear to your heart on a daily basis and is aggravating almost every day. I get that as soon as someone makes the mere MENTION of it, it makes your blood boil. I get it.

But the rules here are simple. There IS a thread running about comparing AAI/SWA to AWA/UAir. Post those opinions in there to your heart's content, but this is NOT one of those threads. I don't care who started it. No one came "running to the mods", I just happened to read the thread tonight since it involves my company. However, it *IS* violating the standing rule and we're not going to start down this road again.

In the interest of giving FAIR WARNING, once again, no suspensions for those involved today. However, no more talk of it here. This was about getting everyone rowing together once a list comes out (at least 6 months to a year in all likelihood), and it's difficult to keep a positive spirit about it with the hostility on the other topic. Back on thread topic, please, and no more warnings. I'm not picking sides, I don't care who it is, next infraction goes to in hack for a while.

Exactly, this thread was created for those who will commit to honor the SLI when the process is done and move the combined company forward. I want to help ensure the next 25-30 years will be as successful as the past. I know we can all agree that no one wants another E vs W mess. Nothing gained at the expense of our future brothers and sisters on either side is worth that.
